And with it, new ideas for classes and some new products from our SewFest meeting in Atlanta. I'm writing this without any idea of what the new products will be, but we'll be back with all the scoop after Easter. Be sure to come in and see the latest.

With the newness of Spring, maybe it would be a good idea to brush up on your sewing skills. We are offering the mechanical and computer machine guide classes twice this quarter, so now may be the time. Remember, if you bought your machine from us, you make take the guide classes as often as you like at no charge. That's a real deal.

The big news for this quarter is our Sulky Seminar being held in the store on Friday, May 21. There will be two sessions 10 to 12:30 or 2 to 4:30. We are focusing on Applique and Color Theory, based on the Sulky book, "Successful Applique". Learn a number of different applique methods and have a ball doing it. Our presenter is Eric Drexler, who with over 25 years in the sewin gindustry, has developed a wide spectrum of expertise. For the last 10 years he has been a full-time employee of Sulky of America during which time he has become more heavily focused on his creative side. Free-motion artistry has been Eric's life long passion ever since he was inspired by his mother, Joyce at age 10. He has made numerous large and small works of machine art, some of which have been featured in Sulky Books and at Trade and Consumer Shows all over the country. Through his association with Sulky of America during all the years of its existence, he has had the pleasure and honor of being inspired by some of the world's greatest creative sewers and quilters.

Eric loves life and he loves to teach and share his exuberance for creative sewing. He is passionate about inspiring students of all ages so they can discover and enjoy a lifetime of creative fun. His infectious smile and warm humor puts everyone at ease and makes them ready and eager to learn. He is widely sought after to teach and share his contagious enthusiasm and we have the good fortune to have him here. See the special events page for more details. We have had a lot of requests for more hands-on computer work. So, Jean is offering a compute and sew class once a month. It's a two day class~~ design your project on the computer the first day and sew it out on the second. It's a great way to put it all together and make it stick in your mind.

Come in and check out our class preview wall. Sometimes a brief description in the newsletter doesn't quite convey the true idea of a project. Believing is touching and feeling, so feel free to do just that.

Every Monday a new Special of the Week will be posted in the store. Come in and check it out. Please, no phone calls. Our hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. If we sell out, rainchecks will be issued!

Going on vacation this summer? It's a perfect time to take care of your annual machine cleaning and maintenance. This is a necessary commitment to keep your machines healthy. When you get ready to start sewing again, you will be glad that you took care of it. We welcome all makes and models of machines and sergers.
